Sheila Marie & Tommy

I actually met Sheila Marie at a wedding two years ago. She has now appeared at 4 weddings I've shot, finally including her own on September 20, 2008 in Little Bras D'Or, Cape Breton. She and Tommy had the coolest looking church I've ever seen and a classic country wedding to match.

THREE CHEERS for another true tie-up dress!

The church was so unique.
The cross on the altar was wrought iron, crafted by local craftsmen, as was the stand for the Bible and baptismal basin. There was no crucifix at the front of the church, instead there hung beautiful ornate tapestries woven by local women. It made for a sensational sense of community and the ideal backdrop for a country wedding.

Some black & white love for a romantic shot of the debonair and suave groomsmen.

Sheila Marie is a bit shy, so Tommy took the lead and loosened her up....

.... and she clearly got into the game. :)

One of the bridesmaids described this next one best: "So gangsta!" LOVE IT!

Time for a little runaway bride action

and EVERY wedding shoot should include train tracks. Have I mentioned how much I love this place?

Not everything was fun and games... they were so very romantic, there were times I felt like I should be averting my eyes.

This isn't something I do for every wedding, but I had some extra time and thought the effects would be a nice addition to the old time country feel. I really like the way it turned out. :)

I absolutely adore these two. They're moving away to New York sometime in the upcoming months, so I hope I was able to capture their wedding and their own little piece of Cape Breton to take with them.
