Out of the Blue

There was a lot going on on the Halifax waterfront that day. There usually is during the summer. Massive cruise ships come and go, street entertainers peddle their musical, artistic, and unusual talents, locals motor along in their business suits and sneakers, trying to put in some exercise on their lunch hours.
But looking out over the water toward Dartmouth, you'd never know it. All that bears witness is the calm and peacefulness of a massive bank of fog, and a single perfect sailboat making its way through.

Time Well Wasted

So, what did you do this weekend?

Oh, ya know, not much. ;)

The Boys of Summer

Another June evening, and it's just too nice out to be stuck inside. Fortunately, I wasn't the only one to think so.
Prime time at the Halifax Skate Park!

Sometimes all you need is yourself, your camera, and some random strangers. :)

How To: Summer 2014

Summer.
Friends, sun, and the freedom to spend the day however you please.

First, gather up your favourite people (sunburns and all)

Then make your way to the ocean. Crystal Crescent Beach works well.

With the salt in your hair, proceed to the nearest available barbeque for a feast fit for summer.
Then off to the lake for a freshwater dip, a tiny campfire, and a remarkable sunset.

Until finally, you're too tuckered out to even bother making it home.

Ahhhhhhh.... summer....

The Right Place at the Right Time

I don't know who she is, or why she climbed that tree, right then, in a dress.
But this lighting and this moment were made to be photographed.
