Emma

My friends make beautiful babies. This is a well-documented fact. Case in point: 11-month-old Emma, who I had the honour of meeting for the first time on December 1.

"Will you take your camera and take some pictures?"

Seriously. Is that even a question?

Her mom was worried that she had just eaten and was a bit messy.
Mess factor: minimal.
Cuteness factor: astronomical.

Is she a happy baby? You bet she is.

Time for some close-ups!

And she's already got Daddy wrapped around her little finger.

"Alright, we're done here."

Or not. :)

I know that from a technical point of view, this shoot was less than ideal, but I'm posting them anyway. After all, I adore them, and because sometimes we all need a reminder that some of the most beautiful things in this life require nothing more than a little effort, a shift of focus, and a turn of the lens.
