The 2014 Ryder Cup saw a few changes from other years. The original hosts Ron and Willena had moved and no longer had a yard big enough to support the growing number of teams vying for the coveted trophy. Cue Margie and Wayne, who graciously offered up their freshly seeded lawn and adorable home for the occasion.
This year also saw the loss of one of our stars: Pat of the Sexy Seniors had passed away suddenly about three months before. This year's tournament was dedicated to his memory, and his team shirt was retired in ceremony at the opening speech.

Once the tears were dried and the rules read, it didn't take long for the shenanigans to begin.
No, Dan, your shirt doesn't get retired just because your team took on a new name.

Everything's in order...
Let the games begin!
Things got heated up pretty quick and the competition was fierce!
But there was enough downtime, too, that everyone got to enjoy the company and stock up on food and fun.
I made a new friend! (more on that here) and somehow managed to find myself in front of my own camera more than once!
Some more play within play...
and then came the final round. All for this:
The second place team:
and our champs, making Ryder Cup history as the first two-time winners ever!
Jamie and Bobby as Nerd Rage!
Next year's Cup is set to be played in Sydney, NS, taking it provincial and making it possible for even more teams to take part. As long as it stays classy, we'll.... uh...well... um...
Nevermind. :)
