Ah, weddings.
Especially those that "aren't going to have a photographer" until I say I'm coming with my camera anyway and there will be a slew of wedding photos in the pile of gifts, when it generally changes to, "Well, in that case can you..."
You bet I can!
Ladies getting ready...
Gentlemen getting ready...
And details, details, details!
The bride's dearest friend had passed away before he was able to fulfill his promise to walk her down the aisle someday.
"You think THAT's gonna get you outta this?" she says to him.Clearly, she got her way.
It was a fairly serious ceremony.
But it was also a bunch of Newfoundlanders, known for making even the most sacred of celebrations into a good time.
With this ring...
I thee wed.
I hope the girl in the red dress got a nice shot. ;)
Off go the bride and groom.
And here come the wedding party.
Pre-session warm-up in the parking lot.
Mid-session warm up by the ocean.
I did get a few formal shots in.
As did this beautiful lady, shooting what I believe is her first wedding.
There's those Chucks again
and the peanut gallery over there taking it all in.
Missus.
Mister.
Because even on your wedding day, some things are inevitable. ;)
Together!
The shininess of the rings contrasting with the wood of the old fence post and lobster traps made for some really classic shots. The reflections of the beach in the bands were the icing on the cake.
And speaking of cake... this masterpiece!
The reception hall was decorated with beach wood with pieces, including a wishing well and this chandelier handmade by the bride's son, and it was an absolutely perfect theme for the bride and groom's absolutely perfect day.
